Meet Our Mountain Guides
Tomas O' Donoghue
Originally from Kerry, Ireland, Tomas spent his childhood between the rugged Killarney National Park and the seaside town of Dingle, where his family had a caravan. His love for the outdoors inspired his travels to Africa, Canada, Nepal, and the Alps.
Tomas earned a degree in civil engineering while simultaneously working as a guide, honing his skills in the mountains as a mountain leader and on the rivers as a kayak guide.

In 2018, the call of the mountains led Tomas to move to the French Alps, which gave him the opportunity to practice alpinism and pursue a full-time guiding career. He currently lives in Servoz, 10 minutes from Chamonix.
Vincent Patissier
Vincent was born in Lyon but, since childhood, his heart has been in the mountains. He spent all his young years hiking in the French mountains.
After school, he studied mountain geography and environment for 5 years at university. However, he enjoys interacting with people, talking, laughing, sharing, walking, running... moving. Naturally, he became a passionate mountain leader.
He can't guarantee the weather, but he will give his best for you to have an unforgettable experience.

Cecilia Mariani
Cecilia Mariani was born in northern Italy and is an International Mountain Leader. Her passion for hiking began while spending her summer holidays in the Alps with her family. After living in the UK and Ireland for a while, she decided to pursue a career in hiking and become a guide.
She now works primarily in Scotland and the Alps, leading long-distance treks and showcasing the beauty of these distinct yet remarkable locations.

When she's not working, Cecilia enjoys exploring new places around the world. She has hiked in various countries, from Europe to South America, and is always planning her next adventure.
Sometimes, she combines her love of hiking with her passion for writing, contributing articles and blog posts to various mountain magazines to inspire others to explore the mountains.

Paolo Possoco
Paolo comes from a small town in the Friuli region at the foot of the Alps. From a young age, he has practiced many outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, cycling, and skiing. After spending many years as a non-professional soccer player, he found a new passion in trail and sky running competitions.
Paolo studied engineering at the University of Padova and became a drilling engineer. But after too much time spent in an office and at job sites, his love for the mountains led him to become a hiking guide.
When Paolo isn't in the mountains or the office, he dedicates his time to managing a holiday home where kids and families can enjoy the beauty of the Dolomites during summer and winter camps. He also likes acting in the local theater company, meeting up with friends, cooking, and reading.
Paolo speaks Italian, English, and some Spanish.

A couple of years ago, she decided to delve into the professional side of mountaineering and began training to become a professional mountain guide. Now, Fatima is an aspirant UIAGM/IFMGA guide.
This journey has led her to explore beautiful mountains, tackle challenging climbing spots, and visit amazing countries, including Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, and the Alps.
Fatima eagerly anticipates completing the UIAGM/IFMGA process and continuing to discover new places while expanding her knowledge and skills.

Alistair Crompton

After a realization at the age of 39 that he wasn’t living the life he wanted, Alistair quit his job, sold his possessions, and moved to the mountains. Over a decade later, he is still following his passion for life and spends his time trail running, paragliding, and ski touring, as well as traveling to mountainous regions of the world.

He came to trail running by accident when he moved to Chamonix; a pair of shoes is easier to pack than a bicycle. As well as mid-distance ultras, he recently started competing in run-and-fly (paraglide) competitions, which allows him to indulge in his love of ascents with a fast way back down to the valley floor.

His passion for trail running comes from a connection with nature and as a form of self-care; he finds time in nature beneficial for his mental health, and running has become a form of meditation for him.

"Helping guests challenge themselves physically and mentally is very rewarding. Moving fast through the mountains with like-minded runners, seeing the landscape change in front of their eyes never ceases to bring me joy. When you find a job you love, you never have to do a day’s work again in your life—guiding really feels like this."
Siebrig Scheeres
Siebrig was born in the Netherlands and studied Physical Therapy in Ghent, Belgium. During this time, she discovered the beauty of the mountains when she hiked the TMB with two friends. It was her first hiking experience in the mountains, and she has loved it ever since.

After finishing studies, Siebrig decided to live in Guatemala and worked as a volunteer in a project for children with disabilities. Most of her free time was spent climbing volcanoes, and in Nicaragua, she discovered trail running.

Since 2013, she has lived in the Valais Region of Switzerland. She obtained a UIMLA certificate and, instead of running trail races herself, now enjoys showing other people the beauty of the mountains.
In her free time, she is also outside, running around in the mountains with herdog. Besides running, she enjoys climbing, alpinism, and ski touring.
